Protecting Women's Rights

  • Repeal the 1849 Abortion ban and safeguard the right to choose.

  • Ensure the right to access in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments for those who need them.

  • Promote paid family leave policies for pregnant and working mothers to support their health and well-being.

Reforming Criminal Justice

  • Legalize Marijuana: Advocate for the legalization of marijuana to reduce incarceration rates and generate tax revenue.

  • Police Accountability and Transparency: Implement measures to increase police accountability and ensure transparency in law enforcement practices.

  • Support Mental Health and Drug Abuse Services: Expand access to mental health and drug abuse crisis services as alternatives to incarceration.

  • Invest in diversion programs: Advocate for rehabilitative and restorative justice programs to reduce reliance on incarceration.

Supporting Higher Education

  • Reinstate and strengthen Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs to promote a more inclusive university environment.

  • Foster better collaboration and support between state governments and universities for improved funding and governance.

  • Ensure that all university staff and faculty receive fair and competitive wages.

  •  Provide support to the smaller UW Campuses and Branch campuses

Keeping Local Economies Strong

  • Remove tax incentives for corporations that move jobs overseas to keep jobs local.

  • Prioritize policies that benefit small businesses and local economies over large corporations.

  • Focus on initiatives that promote the growth and sustainability of local businesses and communities.

  • Repeal Act 10 and Right to Work Laws to restore workers' rights.

  • Strengthen Collective Bargaining rights to empower workers and ensure fair labor practices.

  • Raise Minimum Wage to ensure all workers earn a living wage.

  • Introduce Paid Family and Medical Leave to support workers and their families.

Ensuring Access
to Early Childcare

  • Affordable Daycare Access: Advocate for the

  • establishment of affordable, high-quality, licensed daycare centers nationwide.​

  • Price Stability for Parents: Implement measures to maintain current childcare prices, preventing cost increases for families.

Keeping Local Economies Strong

Bolstering Health Care

  • Expand Medicaid Access: Increase access and funding for Medicaid to cover more residents in Wisconsin.

  • Insurance Coverage for Mental Health: Ensure all insurance plans include comprehensive mental health care coverage.

  • Boost Medicaid Funding: Secure additional funding to enhance Medicaid services and improve health outcomes.

Access to Gender-Affirming Care

  • Chuck believes that every person in Wisconsin deserves the right to be who they truly are. 

  • On the Dane County Board, Chuck supported a resolution making Dane County a Sanctuary for Trans and Non-Binary youth

  • In the Assembly, Chuck will work to enshrine the right to gender-affirming care into Wisconsin Law

Legalization of Recreation and Medicinal Cannabis

  • Support a bill that legalized both recreational and medicinal cannabis in Wisconsin.

  • Use revenue generated for additional sales tax to fund education, public transportation, or other much needed public goods.
